In brief, the project involves the construction of a single-story outpatient clinic located at Lot 1 of Parkview Commerce Center in Somerton, Arizona. The facility includes dedicated spaces for adult medicine, pediatrics, dentistry, and other medical services. According to project documentation, the building encompasses an approximate gross area of 27,500 SF.

SERVICES OFFERED

AEODC was engaged to support the project by providing advanced modeling and coordination services within the defined scope, ensuring high levels of accuracy and efficiency at LOD 350.

The scope of work included in the project:

Revit Architecture and Structure Model Enhancement to LOD400: Enhanced Model received at LOD300 to LOD400 using Autodesk Revit, in alignment with project specifications.
Revit MEP Model Enhancement to LOD400: Enhanced Model received at LOD300 to LOD400 using Autodesk Revit, in alignment with project specifications and equipment submittals.
Navisworks Clash Coordination: Generating hard and soft clash viewpoints highlighting clashes among architectural, structural, and MEP systems (ASMEP), supporting pre-construction coordination and planning.

PROJECT CHALLENGES

The project presented several complex challenges, including:

Model Enhancement: The diverse functions within the clinic — ranging from pediatric to dental — required precise enhancement of model elements based on submittals of specialized systems within the designated timeline.
Clash Detection Sensitivity: Accurate detection and documentation of coordination issues among all trades was critical to reduce rework during construction.
