5201 Congress | Located in Florida
5201 Congress Multi family project located in Florida with an approximate area of 664,000 SF comprises of primarily two buildings – Residential (8 Levels + Roof) and a Garage Building (6 Levels). Residential building comprises of both common recreation spaces and residential units at level 1, followed by level 2 onwards residential units only.
Comprehensive BIM modeling and coordination services were integral to the project’s success, ensuring seamless integration of architectural, structural, and MEP systems. This meticulous approach minimized conflicts, optimized construction workflows, and reinforced 5201 Congress’s status as a Multi family apartments.
SERVICES OFFERED
Being recommended and having a remarkable track record of successfully delivering BIM coordination projects, AEODC was brought on board to deliver the defined scope with quick turnaround at LOD 350 within a time-frame of 8.0 to 9.0 weeks.
The scope of work included in the project:
- Revit Modeling: Creating detailed 3D models of the architecture, structure and MEP systems using Autodesk Revit software.
- Navisworks Clash Detection and Coordination: Utilizing Navisworks to identify and resolve clashes between various trades, ensuring smooth construction execution.
- Architecture & Structure Sheet Preparation: Generating accurate and comprehensive construction documents, including plans, elevations, sections, and details.
- MEP Shops Drawings: Generating accurate and coordinated MEP Shop Drawings.
PROJECT CHALLENGES
The project presented several complex challenges, including:
- Tight Deadlines: The project construction timeline demanded efficient workflows and rigorous project management.
- Interdisciplinary Coordination: Coordinating among multiple disciplines such as architecture, structure and MEP works required meticulous planning and communication.
- Model Complexity: The size, complexity and intricate design of the project necessitated robust BIM methodologies and advanced software tools.
STRATEGIES IMPLEMENTED
The strategies implemented for successfully delivering the project:
- Optimized Workflows: Leveraging advanced BIM tools and streamlined workflows to maximize productivity.
- Collaborative Approach: Fostering strong collaboration between the design and construction team to ensure timely issue resolution of critical RFI’s using project documentation software’s such as Procore.
- Quality Assurance: Implementing rigorous quality control measures to maintain accuracy and consistency throughout the project.
By addressing these challenges, AEODC successfully delivered the BIM coordination project that facilitated efficient construction by minimizing costly errors and delays in record time at site.
